January 24, 2005 the first Intercollegiate Web Development International Contest organized by XITEX Software has started. Aimed to become the first step for college/university students to their professional career in copyrighting, web development and programming, marketing and SEO, it unites students from all over the world on the basis of healthy competition.

Since March 11, 2005 till May 13, 2005 teams of students of colleges/universities applied for the contest participation will develop the complete website of their institution of higher education. The websites should be built on a content management system developed by XITEX Software, Xitex WebContent M1.

Since May 16, 2005 till May 30, 2005 the board of judges, formed from the key players on the world and regional web development market, will evaluate each contestant’s website and define winners. As the contest has two tours, judges will define winners of regional groups in the first tour and global winners in the second one.

Till June 10, 2005 all the winners will be awarded with content management system Xitex WebContent M1 and web hosting for their new websites they’ve built during the contest. Those who won’t win but wish to keep their contest website will have 15% discount as the contest participants.

We hope for a good contribution of administration of colleges/universities to the students’ initiative in participation in I.C.W.D.I.C. 2005.
